Letter Matching
In our room we have a Boggle Junior game. Like most games, we don't play by the real rules. We just like to see if anyone can match up the letters. Yay for this little Bunny!

Music
Mrs. Vaughn is our music teacher. She comes to Bunny class on Monday mornings. Sometimes she brings instruments for everyone to play.
The children learn new songs, rhymes and fingerplays with Mrs. Vaughn.
There is always dancing!

A Hard Lesson
It happens every year, but we never know when it will be. Despite our best counseling, there is always a shelf-clearing day. A day when EVERY block is off the shelf - more than could ever be played with in a day. This photo shows only about half of what eventually wound up on the floor.
Then comes the hard part.
The children have to put them all away in their proper places on the shelves. It takes FOREVER.
No one ever needs to learn this lesson twice. yay.

Stone Soup
Making Stone Soup is one of the most fun activities we do all year. Just after Thanksgiving, we read Mrs. O'Connor's favorite version of this well-known story. Jon Muth's version is beautifully illustrated with ethereal watercolors of gorgeous Asian mountain scenes. Love it!
The children all brought ingredients and one by one we created our soup!
Check out this very earnest stirring!!
Of course we added a stone. Don't worry parents, we scrubbed it first.
After everyone created the soup, we took it to the church kitchen to cook while we played. After our playground time we came in to taste our soup. Yum! Mrs. O'Connor and Mrs. Magee were super proud of all the children who tried the soup. We even had a few Bunnies ask for more!
Stone Soup is a wonderful story to illustrate the power of working together.
